On my development machines, I use RVM to manage a few different versions of Ruby and generally have a different gemset for each project I’m working on.  This is a great way to keep gem versions separate from one project to the next and avoid any hassles with your projects needing such-and-such version of a particular gem (or gem dependencies).  Here’s a really quick tip that I find to be a huge timesaver…

A few months ago, I caught on to the growing popularity of the Vim text editor. Many programmers and web developers use Vim as their IDE of choice, claiming increased speed and productivity. I’ve decided that over the next 4 weeks (basically the month of April), I’ll be leaving the comfort of Textmate and will use Vim (and only Vim) for my development efforts. Here’s why.

I was just doing a quick update on my blog and came across a pretty common error that I want to let you know about.  This is especially important if you’re using custom permalinks.

The Problem
